Corporate Volunteers
Inglis was founded in 1877. It all started with a young girls dream and a $1 gold coin. Annie Inglis who contracted scarlet fever as a young child was left disabled. Annie expressed a dream to her mother that one day there would be a home in Philadelphia to care for those of low income with disabilities. Annie's $1 gold coin would be used to begin fundraising to help realize Annie's dream for a unique home in Philadelphia. Today Inglis House is home to over 200 residents. Inglis House is just one part of Inglis. Annie's dream has grown into a system of services and products designed to maximize the independence of adults with physical disabilities for those living at Inglis House as well as those living independently in community settings.
